6 Phase Meditation

The 6 phase meditation led by Vishen Lakhiani has been very powerful for me since I learned it recently. Many of the phases were already part of my daily meditation practice and it was wonderful to incorporate the phases that were not already present

Vishen Lakhiani is the founder of Mindvalley, a company providing wonderful educational programs in many areas of mindfulness, meditation, and spiritual awakening.

The 6 phase guided meditation in this video is something that can be adapted to just about any kind of daily meditation practice. You probably are doing some of the phases anyway.

Vishen says,

When I was 14, I discovered meditation and since then I’ve made it a part of my life. In fact, when I lived in New York, I was a meditation instructor for 5 years. Now that I’ve been working in personal growth and spirituality for over a decade, I’ve had the chance to experiment with a wide variety of meditation techniques, creative visualizations, and mind exercises.

This one is a very personal 6-phase dynamic meditation technique that I developed myself and use on a daily basis. I shared this with friends and family and people truly love this and they all loved it.

The 6 phase meditation consists of the follows:

  1. Connection – recognition of the insight of interbeing
  2. Gratitude – plus generosity
  3. Freedom from negative charges – forgiveness
  4. Creative visualization – achieve long term goals with guided meditation
  5. Intentions for the day
  6. Blessing – loving kindness
