Getting Unstuck With Pema Chodron

This video is about getting unstuck with Pema Chodron. The talk was sponsored by Sounds True and was titled, “Fear and Fearlessness.”

Pema is an American born nun in the Shambhala Tibetan Buddhist tradition of Chogyam Trungpa Rimpoche. She is the abbess of Gampo Abbey on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

Her life experience as a mother and grandmother have given her an ability to speak to us in a way that is real. She makes light of how difficult it is to calm our minds.

She quoted Trungpa Rimpoche as saying that the only way to know fearlessness is to know fear.

She says,

Face toward your fear, leap toward your fear and my favorite was smile!

The main teaching is that you can face your fear.

Of all the wonderful Buddhist teachers in the world today, Pema Chodron is one of the most popular. In my life, I probably listen to audio books by Pema almost as much as Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and the Dalai Lama.

If you know anyone who would enjoy listening to Pema talk about fear and fearlessness, please share this with them.
