Acceptance, Joy, Peace And Love

Dear Friends:

This post is the 500th post on Meditation Practices For Healing and Well-Being!

Thank your for your continued support.

Jerome

This week’s Words of Wisdom chosen by Lama Surya Das were spoken by my teacher, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

Thay, as he is affectionately called by his followers, is constantly talking about being mindful. We are reminded to be mindful of sitting, walking, eating, and of our actions.

“When we are mindful, deeply in touch with the present moment, our understanding of what is going on deepens, and we begin to be filled with acceptance, joy, peace and love.”

-Thich Nhat Hanh

Thich Nhat Hanh is perhaps the most popular transmitter of Buddha’s teachings of our time except for the Dalai Lama.

His three monasteries in France and three monasteries in the United States attract thousands of practitioners each year.

Thay is well-known for his work as a peace activist and was a good friend of Dr. Martin Luther King.

If you like acceptance, joy, peace and love, please share this quote.
