Thanksgiving Day Is A Day For Gratitude

Thanksgiving Day is less than a week away. It is a day for expressing gratitude.

We taught our children, “To desire what you don’t have is to waste what you do have!” This is a way of saying, “Be grateful for what you do have.”

This video has stunning images and beautiful chanting of  the Metta Sutra. It also has English translations of passages from the sutra.

The Metta Sutra contains Buddha’s teachings on loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity. These are known as the “Four Immeasurable Minds.”

One of the greatest ways of expressing gratitude is through acts of kindness.

One of the best meditation practices I know to express gratitude is to write down in a special notebook five things you are grateful for each day.

What are you grateful for today? Please share.
