4 Practices to Enhance Your Meditation

Time is precious.

More specifically – your time.

And understandably it can be difficult to squeeze a meditation session into your busy schedule.

That’s why it’s important to work towards enhancing the effectiveness of your practice.4 practices to enhance your meditation

And there are FOUR easy ways that you intensify your focus, stimulate the flow of life-force energy, silence the mind and much more.

These 4 practices to enhance your meditation come to you right at this time on Buddha’s so-called Continuation Day – May 5.

  1. Posture – a straight back in a cross-legged position or on a straight-backed chair provides the advantages of a stable foundation and an upright spine which allows for easy breathing. You can also lie down on a yoga mat for comfort.
  2. Intention – set your intention to just sit there and allow whatever happens to come to you without judgement.
  3. Focus – if you mind wanders away from the object of your meditation, gently bring it back without blame. This frequently happens even to experienced meditation practitioners. They respond by catching themselves and bringing their focus back inward.
  4. Practice – daily practice, which we have been touting for several years now, is the key to making the changes in your life that you desire. Set aside a specific time for meditation each day.

These 4 practices to enhance your meditation and many others can be found in my book, Seven Secrets to Stop Interruptions in Meditation: How to Concentrate and Focus on Your Meditation and Deal with Distractions. You can read more about the book here.
