No means no—period

No means no””period.
In spite of what people in spiritual circles might tell you, your “NO” has a right to be respected, even if others don’t like it.
You don’t have to explain your no. It’s fine if you feel inclined to, but, if someone can’t take no for an answer, take heed.
Here’s the thing, my darling. Although we are all interconnected and unconditional love of all beings is a core spiritual principle, you are also a separate spark of divinity who deserves to have your personal space protected. You have a right to set and enforce boundaries and to respond appropriately if others are not willing or able to respect what you need.
Some will try to talk you out of your boundaries, even twisting spiritual principles to try to convince you that you’re “not spiritual” if you set the boundary that feels right to set. Open your heart and see through my eyes of love, but also, see with my clear seeing and open eyes.
Your boundaries are your boundaries. Period. This is not up for discussion.

Healthy people want to respect your boundaries, even if they don’t like them. And if you’re healthy, you’ll want to offer your loved ones the same.
