Advice to the Wayfarer

Having just gotten back from nineteen days in Norway and Spain, this is wonderful advice.

We spent 19 days abroad on a gastronomic eating trip directed by my daughter Jessica. She just got her masters in Innovative Tourism and Gastronomy and really knows her stuff.

Begin a pilgrimage with a mind free of entanglements and regrets.
Abandon projects.
Let go of plans, hopes, and dreams.
Go forth as if you have settled your affairs, made your will, disposed of your possessions, paid your debts, resolved your differences with friends and acquaintances, provided for the care of those who are dependent upon you, made peace with your enemies, and bade
farewell to your loved ones.
Go forth as if you will never return.
